A Proclamation

To all to whom these presents shall come - Greeting

WHEREAS prayer is a source of strength and inspiration in the lives of the individuals and the diverse communities that comprise our Province, and

WHEREAS the first week in May is an appropiate week to celebrate the ushering in of Spring and the renewal of us all, individually and collectively, through prayer, and

WHEREAS Our Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, has been pleased to enact Order in Council 903 on October 22, 2002;

NOW KNOW YE THAT We do by these presents proclaim and declare that May 1 to 7, in perpetuity, shall be known as "Prayer Week" in the Province of British Columbia.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seal of Our Province to be hereunto affixed.

WITNESS The Honourable Iona Campagnolo, Lieutenant Governor of Our Province of British Columbia, in Our City of Victoria, in Our Province, this twenty-fourth day of March, two thousand four and in the fifty-third year of Our Reign.
